Iona "Judy" Morris, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born on March 13, 1936, in the beautiful state of Virginia, she lived a life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. At the age of 89, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and family values that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Hughie and Essie Powers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Henry P. Morris. Their love story began as high school sweethearts, a bond that grew stronger through the decades they spent together.

Her children, Terry Michelle Dent, Kimberly Anne Brogan, Henry Chris Morris, and David Lee Morris, carry forward her spirit and dedication. She was the proud grandmother of Melissa Greene, Christopher Kiraly, and Josh Brogan, and had the joy of welcoming two great-grandchildren into the world.

Judy's professional journey took her through various roles, including working at Norfolk Public Schools, department store, and Burger King. Despite her professional commitments, her greatest passion was raising her family, which she did with immense love and grace.

A woman of faith, Judy was a dedicated member of Azalea Baptist Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community. She enjoyed the camaraderie of the Red Hat Society, which brought her joy and companionship.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who have supported them during this time. A service to honor and celebrate Judy's life will be held at a later date.

Judy will be profoundly missed but never forgotten, as her memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
