It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Ione Marion Stangel Knight, 76, peacefully departed from this world on Monday, February 12, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 2, 1947, Ione lived a life filled with kindness, grace, and unwavering love. She was a beacon of strength and compassion to all who knew her. Her warm smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
As a devoted mother, and grandmother, Ione was the epitome of selflessness, dedicating her life to nurturing and caring for so many, but especially her children, Randy & Angela and granddaughter, Caitlyn. Her unconditional love knew no bounds, and her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Some of her favorite things to do included camping, feeding her hummingbirds and enjoying the wildlife around her, watching sports, and especially cheering on her Green Bay Packers.
While we take solace knowing that Ione was welcomed into heaven by her daughter Angela, parents Marion and Walter, and big brother Michael, she will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind including her beloved husband of 54 years, Donald Knight, her son Randy (Beth) Knight, granddaughter Caitlyn Knight, siblings Daniel Stangel, Patricia Stangel, Kenneth (Patricia) Stangel, Cindy (Daniel) Mattison, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, Ione will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with her love and light. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
