SWANTON – Ira “Dick” Rollo, age 87, passed away on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 in St. Albans surrounded by his family.
Ira was born on July 5, 1938, to Arthur and Cora (Partlow) Rollo.
He spent his life nurturing his passions for hunting, fishing, and gardening. His connection to nature was deep, and he shared this love by dedicating over 25 years of his life to volunteering at the wildlife refuge, where he groomed trails. Ira worked in Agricultural sales throughout his entire life, from farm equipment to all supplies, he was known to many in the farming community. Ira had a strong yet caring demeanor. He approached life with a steadfast spirit and an unwavering commitment to his family.
He is survived by his children, Rhonda Rollo, Tamie Berger-Rollo, Jeffrey Rollo and his wife Julie, and Randy Rollo; grandchildren, Adam Miller and his wife Hannah, Lindsay O’Brien, Miranda Friz, Courtenay Wells and husband Shawn, Taylor Berger and wife Sommer, James Rollo and his wife Erin, and Jordan Rollo; 12 great grandchildren. Ira was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Cora Rollo, and wife, Lorraine Rollo, and his brothers and sisters.
Friends and Family are invited to a graveside service on Friday, October 24th, 2025 at 2:30PM at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Lamkin Street Highgate Center, VT.
A special thank you to Ralph and Marie Raymond, Alice Levick, Gary Young, Mike Fortin, Corey McCuin, Mark Rollo, as well as the Staff at St. Albans Health & Rehab, including Teresa, Katrina, Tanya, Emily, Ali, Peggy and Jess Packard.
