Ira Tucker Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Ira Gene Tucker will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Destin Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM at the funeral home prior to services. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Ira Gene Tucker, 69, of Meridian, MS passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at University Mississippi Medical Center.
Gene retired from Structural Steel after a 33 year career as a welder.
His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Gene was an avid fan of all types of auto racing. Later in life he loved to watch any type of sport.
He is survived by his son Daniel Tucker (Crystal), grandchildren, Haylee Tucker, Landon Tucker, Jaxson Tucker, sister, Carol Lang, the mother of his children, Judy Deweese, his niece, April Evans and nephew, Samuel Lang, who affectionately called their uncle, “King Gene”, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Tucker, grandson, Bryce Tucker, parents, Sam and Jewel Tucker, and his brother-in-law, William Lang.
Pallbearers will be Daryl Brewer, Aiden Brewer, Samuel Lang, Chris Branning, Landon Tucker, Ryan Cormier, and Ronald Nester.
