Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Joseph and Annette (née Saslofsky) Walker, growing up in Brooklyn he worked at a flower shop before finding his true passion in finance. After honing his skills at Shearson Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley, Ira was most recently a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS Private Wealth Management. Known for his dedication and expertise, he guided clients with insight, care and integrity having lead his trusted team for over 40 years. In his leisure time he loved golfing with his friends, watching the Yankees, traveling with his children and relaxing at the beach.
He was a devoted father to his daughter, Mary Henion, and her husband, Jonathan; his sons, Joseph Walker and Michael Walker. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Haley Ann, Isabella and Jonathan Henion Jr.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:45 am, at Mount Sinai Cemetery, 374 Hwy 79, Morganville, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick. For directions, please see "Events" listed below.
