Irene Ayers, born on March 29 1937, in Milford, NH passed away on February 26, 2024, with her loving family surrounding her.
From a young age, Irene's talent as a majorette shone through, capturing the hearts of millions with her performances. She was one of the youngest majorettes and later became a valued member of the American Legion Post 23 drum and bugle Corp in Milford, NH.
Irene's journey took her from Milford, NH to Virginia, where she pursued a career in nursing. Irene was known for her musical talents; she played the guitar and sang at various music halls. She also had a deep love for Wells Beach Maine and Florida, finding solace and peace by the ocean. In addition to her achievements and passions, Irene was a beloved mother to 7 children.
Irene Ayers was preceded in death by Cheryl Ann Garens. Those left to cherish her memory include: Cheramie Howard of Manchester, NH; Tammy Wilwol of Manchester, NH; Laurie Burbee of Brookline, NH; Kelly Dionne of Canaan, NH; Heidi Frank of Manchester, NH; Robert Frank of Hooksett, NH; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
A graveside service to honor Irene's life will take place at noon on March 29, 2024 at Riverside Cemetery in Milford, NH. Flowers may be sent to the service.
