Irene Bastian Obituary
Irene Rose Bastian, 81 of Hillsdale, NY and formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 15, 2022.
She was born on November 5, 1941 in Poughkeepsie to Joseph and Viola (O'Dell) Cussick.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a bookkeeper with the former Mutual Cut Flower Co. in Poughkeepsie.
Irene was pre deceased by her husband Gilbert Duke Bastian and a son, Atila Bordas.
Survivors include her daughters, Irene Woody Cummings (Randy Perretti), Christine Bordas (Albert DeGuisto), Kathleen and Richard Robinson, Joi VanTassell and (James Whearty) and Erica Carothers. Her sons, Csaba and Debra Bordas, Steven and Peg Bordas, Mark and Sheri Bordas.
She also leaves her grandchildren, Michael Friedman, Vaughn Bordas, Michael McGrath, Jennifer Gilmore, Natasha Hunt, Ashley Blevins, Bryan McGrath, Elizabeth Hunt, Shane Bordas, Brittany Brunjes, Joshua VanTassell, Bella Carothers, Sydney Bordas, Seth Bordas and Quinton Brooks along with 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Friday November 18, 2022 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home in Copake NY with Mr. Bruce Frishkoff from Our Lady of Hope Parish officiating.
Interment was in Poughkeepsie, NY.
