MORTON – Irene E. Kaiser, 100, of Morton, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
She was born on August 19, 1925, in Fort Scott, Kansas to Joseph and Ella Mae (Cordill) Banwart. Irene married Lester Kaiser on March 26, 1950, in Fort Scott, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2019. Irene was also preceded in death by son-in-law, Mark Peters; one grandson, Joshua Schoenbein; four brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are her children, Carla (Phil) Bock of Bloomington, Denny (Sue) Kaiser of Morton, Jane (Dan) Steffen of Bluffton, Indiana, Lisa (Bill) Quigley of Morton, and Lori (Greg) Daniel of Morton; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Bahr of Fort Scott, Kansas.
Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of Morton Apostolic Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025, church ministers officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Morton.
Memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Restmor.
