MORTON – Patricia "Pat" Martin, 93, of Morton, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at her home.
She was born on April 9, 1932, in Chicago, to Harry and Emma (McNally) Cox. Pat married Eugene Martin on February 14, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. Gene preceded her in death on October 8, 2017.
Surviving are her children, Jim (Claudia) Martin of Metamora, Chris (Tim Hart) Martin of Peoria and Pete (Laura) Martin of Morton; eight grandchildren, Jamie Mellor, Danielle Wurster, Deanna and Jason Martin and Ashley Martin, Jessica Martin, Julie Testin and Amanda Glascock. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Pat taught French at Woodruff High School for 24 years. She also coached tennis and finished her coaching career at Morton High School. She loved to travel and listen to music. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. day, December 13, 2025, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in the columbarium at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Honor Flight of Peoria.
