Irene Koch Obituary
Irene was united in marriage to E. Richard Koch in 1954. The couple shared 58 wonderful years together, until Richard's passing in 2012. She was also preceded in passing by her siblings, Fred, Kenneth, Marie, Doris, and her twin sister, Ilene.
Throughout her life Irene was a devout member of the Lutheran faith, and was deeply involved in many activities within St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Irene loved her family deeply, and adored her grandchildren to pieces. She will be remembered for her commitment to her community, her wonderful sense of humor, and for making the best apple pies.
Irene leaves behind her daugher, Barbara (Dean) DeCuyke; her son, Richard C. Koch; grandchildren, Sarah and Jennifer (Tyler Hammond); and her great-grandcildren, Kane, Beauden, and Julian.
Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. Irene will be laid to rest with her husband in Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Irene's memory to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 24 Pine Street, Amsterdam, New York 12010 or to Lake Valley EMS, 24 Gardner Place, Amsterdam, NY 12010
