Irene P. Lynch

Lynch, Irene P. (McCarron) of Weymouth, died peacefully January 6, 2022 after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. She will be remembered for her strength and courage in those trying years.

Irene was a devoted wife and mother of 5 children. She graduated from Hyde Park High in 1968. She enjoyed special times with her sister Dottie, she was her best friend and side kick. Like Dottie always says, "me and my shadow".

Irene worked for New England Telephone for many years and was able to retire early and enjoy yearly trips to St. Martin. She had a special bond with her children and grandchildren. Her wisdom and valuable lessons will be passed on for generations to come.

Beloved wife of 50 years to Thomas F. Lynch, Jr. of Weymouth. Loving mother of Tracey DiMaggio and her husband Rich of Abington, Michelle Murphy and and her husband Peter of Abington, Thomas F. Lynch, III of Weymouth, Sean Lynch and his wife Clare of Abington and the late Brian Lynch. Adored Nana of Meghan, James, Justin, Emma, Richie, Sadie, Madison, Kevin, Kerin, Sean and Violet. Devoted daughter of the late Robert and Agnes (McNulty) McCarron. Caring sister of Dottie Soucie and her husband Arnie of Plymouth. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended families and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
