John G Sullivan

John Gregory "Sully" Sullivan, 61, of Halifax, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2026. He was born in Weymouth, MA on May 31,1965. He was predeceased by his father, John P. Sullivan, and is survived by his mother Sandra L Scott. Sully grew up in the South Shore community he loved, attended Silver Lake Regional High School, and graduated with the Class of 1983.

For more than 23 years, Sully proudly served the Town of Halifax as a senior water treatment plant operator. His dedication to his work and his desire to serve his community was a defining part of his life, and he was known for always stepping up when others needed him.

Sully is survived by his sister, Launa Sullivan Smith, and her husband Brian of Osseo, WI; his half sister, Brooke Scott of Maine; and his half brothers, Joseph Sullivan and his wife Michelle of Pembroke, and Dennis Sullivan and his partner Sandy Beaton of Pembroke. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as one great nephew.

A lover of the Boston Bruins, NASCAR, and classic rock, Sully will always be remembered for his kindness and his hysterical humor. Sully is now reunited with his faithful companion, Max.

Visitation will be held at Shepherd's Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA on April 16th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial services will take place on April 17th at 10:00 AM at Central Cemetery, 60 Hemlock Lane, Halifax, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in John's name
