Mrs. Irene Richardson Pullen, 80, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, affectionately called, "Rene", was born in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late John Henry Richardson and Rena Lynch Richardson. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Carrolton of Nash Rehab and Nursing Facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
She joined the Bear Swamp Baptist Church at an early age.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Frank Glover Pullen on May 22, 2007.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five sisters: Mirion Reid, Maybelle West, Ida Mae West, Teasie Boone and Lucinda Alston; two brothers: Basie Richardson and Willie Junior Richardson.
Those left to treasure the memory of her precious life are her two siblings: her sister: Eloise Batchelor; her brother: Salbert Richardson; a very special dedicated nephew: Tracy Batchelor, Sr.; a very special dedicated niece: Linda Batchelor-Odeindecambell; three very special great-nieces: Melissa Newell, Jasmine Richardson and Simisola Odeindecambell;and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
A Visitation will be held for Mrs. Pullen on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Roanoke Rapids Chapel of H.D.Pope Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at the Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 pm.
