Irene Marie Rosiere, age 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a sudden illness on March 29, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant the world to her, and they are grateful for the many years they had together.
Born in Fairmont, West Virginia on June 9, 1928 to William and Nellie Arnett Garlow, Irene later moved to Seneca, Missouri with her family where she met her husband, Glen Rosiere, at a dance in Wela Park in 1946. They married on October 26, 1946 and were longtime residents of Seneca where they raised their four children and where Irene remained until her passing. Irene's love for and dedication to her family was known to all, and her greatest joy was when her house was overflowing with the people who are the legacy she leaves behind.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Glen Rosiere; her grandson, Cameron Rosiere; and five of her siblings, Howard Garlow, Ruth Higginbotham, James Garlow, Frances Garlow and Donald Garlow.
She is survived by her brother, Lewis Garlow of Fullerton, CA and her four children: Charlotte Rosiere of Joplin, MO; Shawn (Joleen) Rosiere of Joplin, MO; Darrell (Vicki) Rosiere of Seneca, MO; and Danny Rosiere of Norman, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren who were blessed by the countless hours they spent at Grandma's house and having her present at almost every sports activity, school performance, graduation and major life event: Brandon (Natalie) Rosiere, Portia (David) Koonce, Marla (Brian) Storm, Colby (Jamie) Rosiere, Jason (Shannon) Rosiere, Josh (Maria) Rosiere, Lydia (Lucas) Lance and Allie (Nathan) Standlee. Irene's love of being a grandmother grew even more as her great-grandchildren entered her world and she is also survived by Collin, Addison, Avery, Lily, Eleanor, Sarah, Ava, Owen, Virgil, Brantly, Glory, Evan, Wyatt, Mariah, Titus, Maggie, Caleb, Karson, Grant, Nolan and Aspyn.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7pm, Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
Graveside services will be held at 10am, Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Seneca Cemetery with Truman Brady officiating.
