Billy (Bill) J. Rosiere, 60 of Canton passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1964, in Canton, IL to Harry and Evelyn (Widger) Rosiere. He married Dawn (Stahl) Scrivens on Sept. 5, 2008. She survives.
Also surviving are his twin sister, Debby (Greg) Adams of Sterling, Mary Holt of Canton, Madeline (Michael) Carr, of Colorado Springs, CO, Matthew Rosiere of Phoenix, AZ, Lonnie Rosiere of Creve Coeur, and his daughters, Jennifer (Greg) Sleater of Pekin, Brittany Clark of Kerrville, TX and Step children, Jessica Murie, Thomas (Ashlie) Murie and Terry (TJ) Scrivens of Glasford and Patricia Trent of Pekin, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry (Velma) Rosiere and Evelyn (Jack) Lowe, and sister Luella Rosiere of Canton.
An alumni of Canton High School Bill graduated from the Class of 1983, where he played for the Little Giants Football team. Afterward he attended Spoon River College where he Mastered, in Automotive Mechanics. He worked for numerous dealerships in the Canton, Pekin and Peoria area until he was forced to slow down and worked for Advance Auto Parts from which he retired. He was also a member of the Salvation Army and helped at the thrift store. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the United Presbyterian Church of Peoria, 2400 West Northmoor Road, Peoria, Illinois 61614. Cremation rites will be accorded with Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. To leave an online condolence you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
