Irene V. Trevino

Irene V. Treviño, a cherished beacon of warmth and love in her community, completed her earthly journey on December 5, 2023, at the age of 78. Born on June 17, 1945, in Corpus Christi, TX, she cultivated a life rich in family values and compassion, a legacy she leaves in the very place she first began her remarkable story.
Irene's life was defined by her unwavering dedication to her loved ones, a devotion that shaped every aspect of her existence. Though she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Santos M. Treviño, and her dear son, Marty Treviño, her spirit of love never wavered. Irene's memories shall forever be cherished and celebrated by her sons, Ronald Treviño, Eli Treviño (Janie), and Adrian Treviño (Julie); her caring sisters, Linda Rodriguez, Becky Arriga, Helda Alvarado, Sylvia Alvarado, Alma, and Mary; and her supportive brothers, Ray Vallejo, Dicky, and Charles.
Irene's legacy extends through the joyous laughter and boundless curiosity of her seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of her gentle wisdom and nurturing spirit. She also remains eternally present in the hearts of her numerous extended family members, who saw her as a guiding light and source of unwavering support.
In the sunset of her years, Irene V. Treviño departed as she lived-surrounded by the family she adored and enveloped in the peace of her hometown. She will be deeply missed, eternally loved, and always remembered.
Irene's family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Holy Rosary will begin at 1:00 PM followed by Liturgy of The Word. Services will conclude that day.
