KELLER, TEXAS - Iris Blevins, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
Service: 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023, in Mount Olivet Chapel.
Iris was born on September 28, 1927, in Houma, Louisiana, to father, August Hebert and mother, Effie Rhodes.
Iris was a devoted member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Elizabeth A. Seton in Keller and enjoyed her time as a member of the Keller Garden club for several years. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, knitting, crocheting, and making Cajun food for Christmas dinner. Most of all, Iris loved her church.
Iris worked as a recovery room nurse from 1970 until her retirement, to start traveling with her husband, Leslie. She then volunteered at Keller Community Storehouse for over 30 years.
Iris is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie Blevins; son, Rickey Blevins, and daughter in law Robbie Blevins; daughter in law, Linda Blevins; and grandson, Chad Blevins.
She is survived by her children, Michael and wife, Ann Blevins, Debra Dailey, and Dale Blevins; 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
