Iris Lipscomb Obituary
February 16, 1931 - August 10, 2022
Iris Jordan Lipscomb, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Guggenheimer Health & Rehab.
Born on February 16, 1931, in Charlotte Court House, Va., she was a daughter of the late Monroe Benjamin and Rosa Carwile Jordan. She was a self-employed antique dealer. Iris loved animals, baking and spending time with her family.
Iris is survived by one son, Arthur "Art" Monroe Lipscomb and his wife, Bonnie, of Forest; two grandchildren, Matthew Lipscomb and his wife, Meghan, of Colorado, and Michael Lipscomb and his wife, Nicole, of Goode, Va.; and four great-grandchildren, Roman Monroe Lipscomb, Isla Marie Lipscomb, Leila Elise Lipscomb, and Theodore "Teddy" Hershel Lipscomb. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva J. Quick, Ellen J. White and one brother, Clyde Jordan.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Monty Fox officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd., Lynchburg.
