Iris Swanson Obituary
Iris Darlene Swanson, 87, Orion passed away on February 20, 2026 at Hillcrest Home in Geneseo, Illinois.
A memorial service will be 2:00 on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Esterdahl Mortuary, 1301 4th Street in Orion. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at the Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Swedona Lutheran Church.
Iris was born on April 24, 1938 in Beardstown, Illinois the daughter of Alfred and Mabel Crews King. Iris was an independent Tupperware Representative. She was a member of the Swedona Lutheran Church where she was a member of the secret sisters club. Iris was a member of the Ophiem American Legion Auxiliary as well as the Red Hats Club. She loved to knit and was an avid Cubs fan having attended spring training in Arizona for many years with long time companion, Sheldon Larson.

Several grandchildren and great grandchildren

Iris was preceded in death by her parents, sons Tim and Barry, sister Karla Budd and a brothers-in-law Wendell Anderson and Jim Budd, sister-in-law, Beverly King.
