Funeral Mass for Iris Theresa Whitmore of Moreauville will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Moreauville on Monday, August 12th, 2024 beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Brian Seiler officiating. Burial will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Mausoleum.
Iris Whitmore, age 96, passed away at the Valley View Nursing Home of Marksville on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Keith Whitmore (Teresa), Larry Whitmore (Phyllis), and Terry Whitmore (Mary); daughter-in-law, Nancy Whitmore Parham; her grandchildren, Tiffany Whitmore, Joey Whitmore, Caleb Whitmore, Ashley Tassin, Layla Juneau, and Brian Whitmore; 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Loui “Lou” Whitmore; son, Lionel Whitmore; grandchild, Andy Whitmore; parents, Anatole & Lessie Lacour Brouillette; daughter-in-law, Lori Louise Desselle Whitmore; and her siblings, Pearl Lemoine, Earl Brouillette, and Raymond Brouillette.
Visitation will begin at 8:00am on Monday, August 12th, 2024 at the Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville. A rosary will be recited before mass at 10:30am at the funeral home.
