Irma H. McMullan

Irmingard Hana Lore Volkenannt was born on August 23, 1939 in Erding, Germany, and returned to our Lord on January 26, 2026.

A trip to America at 18 years old to visit her sister led her to meet the love of her life, Gerald Francis Thomas McMullan.

Irma was the most loving and devoted wife, mother & grandmother, sister, and the sweetest 'Omi' to everyone that was blessed to know her. Her inner beauty and strength gave her the natural ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved. This love of family guided her and Gerald to become amazing foster parents to over 30 children, and led her to college for studies in Child Development and Psychology. When she wasn't caring for her family, she was outdoors pursuing her passion for gardening. She was presented with the "Beautification award" by the city of Saint Augustine for the beauty of her magical gnome garden that gave so many great joy.

Our Omi's spirit will live forever in the hearts of her 4 children, Gerald ll, Susan, Lisa, and Christine; her 4 grandchildren, Gerald lll, Steven, Gianna, Julian, her siblings, Walter and Helga, and all that knew her....
