Irving Ismael Curiel Moreno passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was 31 years old.
A Celebration of Life and Visitation will be held from 3 – 6pm Friday, January 10, 2025, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Paonia, Colorado. We will host a Viewing and Mass on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Delta, Colorado. Mass beings at 1pm. We will have lunch at Rio Bravo in Paonia, Colorado following the service.
Irving was born on February 17, 1993, in Ontario, Oregon to Juan Curiel and Claudia Moreno. He grew up in Ontario moving later to Layton, Utah and after to Montrose, Colorado, settling later in Paonia, Colorado.
Irving spent his school years in Layton, Utah at the Christian Academy through 12th grade.
Irving lived always by his parents and finally settled in Paonia, Colorado where he worked at the family business. He loved his family deeply.
Irving enjoyed music, dancing, and cooking was one of his passions. He dreamed of becoming a culinary art chef. He also lived the outdoors; hunting, fishing, walking his dog Brun, and swimming. He enjoyed passing time with his brothers and his sister, she was his biggest love…he cared for her immensely. His friends were an important part of his life. He knew how to be a good and loyal friend.
Irving is survived by his parents, Juan Curiel and Claudia Moreno; his brothers, Juan A. Curiel (Juanito), and Andrès Curiel (Andy); his sister, Avriel Curiel (friend); his grandmother, Catalina Moreno; uncles, aunts, and lots of cousins.
His light will always brighten our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to his family so they can take Irving to Mexico.
