Isaac Longden Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 6, 2011.
Isaac's life began on November 21, 1991 in Berrien Center, the son of Stephen A. and Cherie (Renner) Longden. He was a graduate of Dowagiac Union High School and had previously attended Southwestern Michigan College. Isaac was very involved in the Dowagiac Union High theatre productions; if he wasn't acting, he was behind the scenes. He loved singing in Mr. Robinson's choirs and singing karaoke. Isaac had previously studied theatre at Southwestern Michigan College in hopes of pursuing a career in theatre. He was employed by the Dowagiac Union Schools as a supervisor of the Performing Arts Center. His loving family includes his mother Cherie Longden of Dowagiac, sisters Sarah (Knowell) Matthews of Fairfield, ME, Rachel Longden of Provo, UT, Katie and Emily Longden, both of Dowagiac, brothers Dan (Kim) Longden of Charlotte, MI, Nick Longden of Coloma, and Matt Longden of Dowagiac, nieces and nephews Micah, Grace, and Seth Longden and Charlee Matthews, paternal grandmother Katherine Longden of Sturgis, SD, and maternal grandparents Tom and Charlene Renner of Watervliet. Isaac passed away on October 6, 2011 in Dowagiac. He is preceded in death by his father Stephen Longden and grandfather Floyd Longden. Private graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac. Memorial contributions in Isaac's name may be directed to his mother Cherie Longden. Yazel & Clark Chapel is serving the family. Please sign his guestbook and leave a memory of Isaac at www.yazel-clark.com.

I feel very blessed to have worked with Isaac as his director, teacher, and colleague. There are no words to describe the void that is left in all of our hearts. The world has lost a remarkable friend, thespian, brother, and son. Rest in peace Isaac; you will be missed!
