It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Isaac Ortega announce his unexpected passing on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the age of 53.
Isaac was born on April 11, 1972 to Vaudelio Ortega and Diana Ortega. He was raised in Chimayo by his maternal grandparents Isaias and Manuelita Ortega who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother Brad Ortega; his paternal grandparents Arturo and Lucy Ortega; his stepmother Sally Ortega; his mother-in-law Frances Vigil; most recently by his Uncle Gerry Facklam; and numerous other family members.
Isaac is survived by his wife Georgiana Vigil; his daughters Haley and Trinity Ortega; step-son Andres Vigil; his parents Vaudelio Ortega and Diana Ortega; his brother Eric Vigil and family; his sister Jonna Ortega and family; his Aunt Edna Facklam and family; his Aunt Patricia Borrego and family; niece Veronica Ortega and family; father-in law Armando Vigil; sister in law Luciana Vigil-Holterman and family; brother-in-law Frank Vigil; brother-in-law Ricardo Vigil; and numerous other family members and friends who will miss him terribly.
Isaac had many friends and family who could count on him for work on vehicles and any work around their homes, and it made him most proud when he could help others with any type of need. He was God fearing, a protector of those he loved, he gave the best bear hugs and always had empathy. Isaac had book smarts and studying came easy to him, he was always reading and learning and successfully completed an Associates of Science and a Bachelor of Science degrees. He liked having meaningful conversations, even with strangers since he always had something to say.
Rest in peace Isaac, you’ll be missed terribly. We will always carry memories of you in our hearts.
