Isabel Bachtel Obituary
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Akron for many years. She spent much of her career caring for the elderly in her community, in her home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Bachtel whom she married August 15, 1987 and who passed in 2017; brother William Edwin Lee; brother-in-law Gayle C. Bachtel; niece Marisa Futral and nephew Austin B. Blake III.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son George Sports of Akron, OH; several grandchildren; sister and caregiver Gloria G. Lee Bachtel of Cumberland, OH; special niece Dawn Blake of Cumberland, OH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for a Funeral Service Friday, July 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with her brother-in-law Harold Bachtel officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.

I was saddened to hear of Isabel's death. I will always remember the good times we had together. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor. May she rest in peace
