Isabel Greene Ballard

Mary Isabel Greene Ballard, 75, of Griffin, wife of Perry Young Ballard, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at her home.
Born in Thomaston, June 4, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Wright and Yola Natalie Kidwell Greene. Mrs. Ballard was formerly employed with the Georgia Highway Patrol where she was a license examiner. She retired from the State of Georgia where she worked as a Child Support Agent. Mrs. Ballard formerly lived in Flagler Beach, Florida, before returning to live in Griffin. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmommy.
A member of Hollonville Baptist Church, Mrs. Ballard had attended Haralson United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dave Metts; a brother-in-law, Gwyn Ballard; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Ann Castles.
Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-four years are a son, Stacey Metts and wife Lisa of Griffin; grandchildren, Brian Metts and wife Melissa of Macon, Tyler Metts and wife Allie of Griffin, Summer Metts, also of Griffin and Sarah Metts of Zebulon; great-grandchildren, John, Adeline, Lily, Savanna, Bryden, Aveah, Ansiley and Bradley; sisters, Dianne Yelvington and husband Richard of Pierson, FL and Cindy Reeder of Tyler, TX; a brother, Raleigh Greene of Flint, TX; a sister-in-law, Nikki Ellard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mary Isabel Greene Ballard will be conducted Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Debbie Neely officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Brightmoor Hospice, 3247 Newnan Road, Griffin, GA 30223, in memory of Mrs. Ballard.
