Obituary published on Legacy.com by Merkle Funeral Service, Inc. - South Monroe on Feb. 8, 2026.
Isabel Dorothy Hanna was born in Atchinson, Kansas on April 20, 1928. Raised with four other siblings, she was the daughter of Hickman Hanna and Beulah (Jones) Hanna. She graduated from Atchinson High School with the Class of 1946.
Isabel married Staff Sergeant Louis John Easley in Kansas City, Missouri on October 17, 1960. She was blessed with the birth of three children. Louis passed away on July 21, 1972. For more than a decade she was employed by Montgomery Ward in retail sales.
Isabel stayed very active throughout her life and was always on the go. During the Summer months she maintained a beautiful, plentiful garden. She cultivated amazing flowers and delicious vegetables well into her 80's. Generous and kind, Isabel often volunteered her time and resources by providing rides to the store or veterinary office to her neighbors and friends. Somehow through thick and thin she always remained positive and was a breath of fresh air to those around her.
Isabel spent countless hours in front of the television with her special routine. She enjoyed watching her gameshows, "Let's Make a Deal", "Price is Right", and "Wheel of Fortune". For years she watched her soaps, although as she aged, she found it difficult to keep up with all the story lines. She loved watching all the daytime judge shows. She had a passion for the sweet sounds of Motown music, often singing and swaying along to the melodies.
