Isabel Labate Mina

Isabel Labate Mina Isabel "Belle" Labate Mina left this fragile Earth on Monday, March 16, 2020 in the loving company of her husband of 72 years, Peter J. Mina. Belle, the daughter of the late Vincent and Elizabeth (nee Curzio) Labate was born in Philadelphia on January 17, 1927. She graduated from the Interior Design program at Bok Vocational Technical School, 8th and Mifflin Sts., Philadelphia in 1945 where she met and later married her husband, Peter. Belle was predeceased by her younger brother Pete, who died in Germany during World War II and her older brother, Frank. After graduating high school, she worked as a sales clerk at the Bonwit Teller store in Philadelphia. Belle and Peter married on March 3, 1948. They settled in Lansdowne, PA and raised four children, Linda Ann (Drexel Hill, PA) Joseph (Cape Town, South Africa) Vincent (Wailuku, Maui, HI) and Diane (Malvern, PA.) Belle volunteered at her parish church and school, St. Philomena's of Lansdowne, PA and worked full time at Lit Brothers Department Store in Upper Darby. After Lit Brothers closed, she worked at Siderio Florist in Overbrook, PA. Belle was a sewing and crafting enthusiast and especially loved creating counted cross stitch projects, which she was always presenting as gifts to friends, family and fellow parishioners. Sitting around Belle's table and savoring her Italian cooking was a delicious treat for all who knew her. She would give cinnamon bread and Easter Pie as annual holiday gifts from her busy kitchen. Belle delighted in her six grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann (Aaron Sundberg) Mina, Catherine Rose (Kevin Dodge) Mina, Kekai (Mina), Kahanulani (Mina), Alison Luarie (Weltman) and Erica Mina (Weltman.) Her joy was compounded by the arrival of her two precious great-grandchildren, Logan Kevin Dodge and Carissa Rose Dodge. Funeral Service and Interment Private.
