Isabel A. Noriega, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 24, 2024, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories. Born on April 21, 1940, in Seguin, Texas, Isabel's journey was one filled with love and independence.
Isabel's warm heart and devotion to family were evident in every aspect of her life. Family time held a special place in her heart, particularly when it came to her grandchildren. They brought immense joy into her world and their laughter filled her soul. Isabel believed that family was the foundation of happiness and she dedicated herself to nurturing those bonds.
An incredibly talented and independent woman, Isabel pursued her interests with passion. She had an artistic inclination and loved crafting decorations for parties and creating beautiful floral arrangements that infused color into any room. Her keen eye for detail extended beyond decorating as she also crafted decorative photo albums that were treasured by those fortunate enough to receive them. Furthermore, Isabel possessed a green thumb and found solace in gardening; she had a particularly fond connection with her cacti, raising them with care and tenderness. Isabel's adventurous spirit took her on many trips as she indulged in her love for travel. Additionally, Isabel's cooking was not just about preparing delicious meals but about bringing people together around the dinner table. She demonstrated love through her dishes and created lasting memories during joyful gatherings with loved ones.
As we reflect upon Isabel's life, it is important to acknowledge those who preceded her in death, her parents Eustaquio and Maria Amador; her son Joe Arthur Alvarado; grandchildren Justin Reyna and Sofia Ficklin; as well as her sisters Guadalupe Sanchez and Lina Gonzalez. Their spirits will forever be intertwined with hers.
While our hearts ache at the loss of Isabel, we find solace in the memories we shared and the love she leaves behind. She is survived by her children Ruben and Nelly Alvarado, Bertha and Richard Hernandez, and Joe Samuel and Leticia Noriega Jr. Moreover, she leaves behind a legacy of love through her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Among her siblings, Angela and Abelardo Salazar, Beatrice and Silverio Cuellar Jr., JP and Lucia Amador, Dolores and Ramirez, Maria "Betty" and Gary Hannuksela, and Eustaquio "Toyo" and Cindy Amador.
Isabel A. Noriega's zest for life was infectious, and her warm smile brought comfort to all who crossed her path. She will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kind-hearted nature.
