Isabel Pacheco (1928 - 2024)
Isabel Pacheco, 96, passed away on December 31st, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Isabel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Nieves Puente and her son, Wilfredo Pacheco. Isabel was born in Cuba, and was the eldest of 10 children. She immigrated to the United States in 1972, where she worked as a cleaning lady in Rockefeller Center until she retired to raise her grandchildren. Isabel had a vibrant and infectious personality and made an instant connection with whoever she met, no matter what language they spoke. She had a love for travel and continued to take adventurous vacations into her late 80's. She expressed her love through cooking and made the best Cuban comfort food. Isabel was a light in all of our lives and will be missed dearly, but her memory will live on through the traditions she shared.
A service will be held on Friday, January 3rd from 4:00-8:00PM at O'Boyle Funeral Home in Bloomfield, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association or plant a tree in her honor.
