Isabella J. Fiore

Isabella Joann Fiore nee Rogondino, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Ann Marie (Maserati) Rogondino on March 26, 1932. Joann was raised in Ontario, California where she met her Marine husband, Charles Fiore of Highwood, Illinois. After their marriage on August 22, 1953, they lived at the Marine base in Fort Lejeune, North Carolina. When Charles was discharged from the service, they returned to Highwood where they built their home, raised two children, and entertained their friends and families.
Joann loved to decorate St. James Church for all the holidays especially Christmas. She was instrumental in the decorations for gatherings of the St. James School Mother's Club. Charles and Joann also worked together to create the decorations for functions at Carmel High School in Mundelein.
Joann loved California, especially San Diego, Laguna Beach, and Mt. Baldi. She valued her Italian heritage and ended her days by enjoying a glass of wine just as her father, Joe, a winemaker and cooper, did for many years. Joann was passionate about watching Michigan State football, the Chicago Cubs, and "da" Bears.
Beloved wife of the late Charles Jr. Survived by her son Charles (Marilena Bernardi) and daughter Anna Marie (Daniel Fabbri); brother Patrick (Mary) Rogondino; granddaughters Lauren, Valerie (Jeff Haroldson), and Liane (Nick Uhler); great-grandchildren Augie (and his soon-to-be brother), Makena and Kinley; and many nephews and nieces on the Rogondino and Fiore sides of the families. We also cannot forget her furry friends: Olive, Echo, Vita, and Elvis.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 - 9:00 AM until the funeral mass starting at 10:00 AM - St. James Church (Christ Our Hope Parish) - 140 North Avenue, Highwood, IL 60040.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a Mass to be celebrated at either St. James Church in Highwood or Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest. Private burial at All Saints Cemetery.
