Isabelle Cooper Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home on Jul. 13, 2023.
Isabelle Marie (Phillips) Cooper, age 80, known to her loved ones as Bammy and Peeler, passed away peacefully and comfortably at home in Lebanon, Tennessee in the loving arms of her daughter, Dana, on Sunday, June 11th, 2023. She was born on January 4th, 1943 in Sparta, NJ to the late William Parker Phillips and Mary Francis Phillips (née Bennett), who were proud dairy farmers.
Isabelle grew up in Lafayette and lived most of her life in Newton, NJ at her family home on Madison Street. She moved to Tennessee in 2021.
While Isabelle took great pride in her true life's passion as a grandmother and great grandmother, she was formerly employed as a waitress by the former McKeown's restaurant and later as an employee of the NJ Herald for over 20 years.
A gentle and caring woman, Isabelle loved making crafts, playing bingo, watching her favorite game shows on television, and walking around town with her grandson, Brett. She was a kind human, a passionate yet stubborn soul, and never failed to reach out to help those in need. Her love for strawberry milkshakes and sweet potatoes will forever keep her in the hearts of all those who knew her best.
Isabelle is predeceased by her beloved husband, William John Cooper (1941-2004). She is survived by her daughter, Dana (Edward Conrads) of Andover, NJ/ Lebanon, TN, her son, Keith Cooper (Heidi) of Hampton, NJ, and her stepson, William Cooper, of Altoona, PA.
Isabelle leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Edward Jr. (Kassandra), Tyler (Jennifer), Brett, Taylor, and Cody. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Piper Lea, Caroline Belle, Kinsley Margaret, and Adalynne Marie. Isabelle's loving dog, Sofi, will miss her dearly as well.
Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home – 156 Main Street, Newton, NJ. The funeral mass for Isabelle will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Good Shepherd RC Church – 48 Tranquility Road, Andover, NJ – at 10:00am with internment immediately following at Vaughan Cemetery in Sparta.
