Isaias Fuentes, 73, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025 in Graham. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.
Isaias was born July 6, 1952 in La Pechuga Hidalgo, Mexico to the late Angela Aguilar Trejo and Guadalupe Fuentes- Gonzalez. He married Maria Guadalupe Paulin November 1974 in Hidalgo, Mexico.
Isaias was a deeply beloved brother, father, and friend. He was an inspiration of love, warmth, and kindness to all who knew him. He knew no stranger. He had an untiring love for his grandchildren, nurturing and guiding them with a heart full of kindness. His love for family was infinite, always putting others first and making memories filled with laughter and love. Isa loved the great outdoors, and farming. He was a fervent animal lover, he had range of poultry, goats, sheep, and pigs; showing a kindness that extended to every living being. He was the foundation of a strongly united family and a devoted Christian, leading by example with respect and humility. Isaias’ spirit, love, and presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of meekness will continue to inspire and guide those who were blessed to know him.
Isaías era un hermano, padre y amigo profundamente querido. Fue una inspiración de amor, calidez y bondad para todos los que lo conocieron. No conocía a ningún extraño. Tenía un amor incansable por sus nietos, nutriéndolos y guiándolos con un corazón lleno de bondad. Su amor por la familia era infinito, siempre poniendo a los demás primero y creando recuerdos llenos de risas y amor. A Isa le encantaba el aire libre y la agricultura. Era un ferviente amante de los animales, tenía una variedad de aves de corral, cabras, ovejas y cerdos; mostrando una bondad que se extendía a todos los seres vivos. Fue la base de una familia fuertemente unida y un cristiano devoto, que predicaba con el ejemplo con respeto y humildad. Se extrañará profundamente su espíritu, el amor y la presencia de Isaías, pero su legado de mansedumbre continuará inspirando y guiando a aquellos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerlo.
Survivors include: wife, Maria Guadalupe Fuentes of Graham; son, Marcos Fuentes of Graham; grandchildren, Marc Isaias Fuentes, Destanie Eden Gant, Faith Ann Fuentes, and Payton Evelyn Fuentes; brothers, Hector Trejo and wife, Maria, Geronimo Camargo and wife, Marcela, Lazaro Fuentes and wife, Ernestina, Chris Fuentes and wife, Josefina, Martin Fuentes and wife, Laura, and Pascual Fuentes and wife, Letty all of Graham; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Rosary will be at 7 p.m.
Memorial gifts may be made to Maria Guadalupe Fuentes and family.
