Isis Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Caliman Funeral Services - Columbus on Jan. 22, 2026.
Isis Kiamese Smith, 50, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend went home to glory on December 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mother Jacqueline E. Smith, Grandmothers, Gail Y. Simmons and Margaret I. Crocket, Mary Wade-Reese and nephew Darius Winters.

Born and raised in Columbus Ohio on July 23, 1975, to Jack C. Wade and Jacqueline Smith. Isis, or Kia as she was known, cherished and loved by those who knew her best and was always the life of the party. Anywhere she would go, she would always make a friend and would speak her mind about whatever, whether you liked it or not.

A true fashionista and a fabulous cook, she would make a 5-star meal with random food in her fridge and look good doing it.

She lives behind to honor her memory her two sons, Baci Alexander and Bellagi Smith, her father Jack C, Wade, three sisters, JC, India, and Allison, two brothers, Carlton and John, a crew of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will remember her as not only stubborn and hard headed, but also a good time and an all-around cool lady who was loving and compassionate.

Sending my condolences to all.

I remember growing up with Isis, in middle school, and hanging around the neighborhood during the summers. I was sad when she moved, but was grateful to hear the stories of her from my husband who went to high school with her.

Rest well, Queen Isis!
