On April 24, 2024, Isvan Mario Mercer of Schertz, Tx, passed away at the age 64. Born on July 21, 1959, in Washington D.C., Isvan was the cherished son of Isvan Mario Mercer II and Audrey Roberta Mercer.

Isvan honorably served in the U.S. Air Force for 29 years from January 26, 1983, to January 31, 2012. He was a devoted individual who held a Second Degree Black Belt in Karate and found joy in following Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball. His favorite author was Tom Clancy and was a Catholic by faith. 

Isvan is preceded in death by his parents, Isvan Mario Mercer II and Audrey Roberta Mercer and siblings and Veneice Mercer and Teresa Mercer. He is survived by his loving spouse Rosal D. Mercer; children Darrin M. Mercer, Mark L. Baldon (spouse Latrice Nicole Jones); grandchildren Jordan J. Baldon, Ariana C. Baldon, Naomi R. Baldon; siblings Albert Mercer, Larry Sprauve, Ronald Mercer; and nephew Jared Mercer.

A visitation will be held Tuesday May 14, from 5pm-8pm as well as Wednesday May 15, 2024, from 10am -11am. 

Funeral Service will begin at 11am.

Following the funeral service, we will process to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Graveside service will begin at 1pm. 

 A post-service gathering will be held at Lin's International Buffet ($10-$20 per person); RSVP to Rose Mercer at 662-352-3678.

Isvan's memory will forever remain in our hearts as we celebrate his life and the impact he had on all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
