Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home & Cremation Services - ElizabethtownIva Jean Kilby Boylan, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2025. She was born on March 7, 1938, in Sparta, North Carolina, to the late Delmas J. Kilby and Selma Richardson Kilby.
Iva was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Boylan; her son, Allen Blevins; her daughter, Teresa Mabe; and her siblings: Charles Kilby, Danny Kilby, Harold Kilby, Barbara Anders, and Kathleen Cox.
Iva dedicated her life to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! She devoted herself to her family that God gave her as the most precious things in her life. They will always fondly remember her warm spirit and unwavering love.
Iva was a member at Tar Heel Baptist Church in Tar Heel, North Carolina where she attended as much as her health allowed and when not able to attend she would watch online. She loved worshipping with her church family.
Iva is survived by her son, Steven Blevins (Barbara) and her daughter, Linda Richardson. She is also survived by her brother, Vonley Kilby, along with a wonderful legacy of grandchildren: Allen Blevins, Jr., Chris Blevins, Travis Loudermilk, Roger Blevins (Shannon), Kenny Blevins (Heather), Derrick Blevins, Brandon Blevins (Patricia), Michael Deason, and Amber Honeycutt (James). Additionally, she was blessed with ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren who brought joy into her life. Iva will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who take comfort in the cherished memories they hold dear.
There will be two celebrations of homegoing for Iva. The first will be held on September 28th at 3:00 pm at Tar Heel Baptist Church in Tar Heel, NC.
The second service will be held at the Ellerbe Senior Center, 306 Millstone Road, Ellerbe, NC 28338 on October 25, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
