Ivan D. Bruette

Ivan D. Bruette, age 59, of Green Bay, formerly of Menominee, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born March 8, 1964 in Shawano, WI, son of the late Felix and Elizabeth (Wolf) Bruette.
Ivan was a proud Union carpenter, specializing in building bridges. He also was trained in and enjoyed iron working.
Ivan was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt and camp. He was raised on both the Stockbridge and Menominee Reservations. Ivan knew his way around both Reservations and could take you on a tour using all of the back roads. Ivan's feisty spirit will be remembered by those who survive him.
Ivan's survivors include his 5 siblings: Odile "Tweetie" Wolf, Felix "Pierre" Bruette Jr., Arthur Bruette, Valerie Bruette and Kim Powless, honorary step-son, Derek, special nephew, Tony Bruette and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Gayle Worden and 2 brothers, Anthony "Tony" Wolf and George Bruette.
A Celebration of Ivan's life will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Monday, August 7, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM.
Ivan's family would like to thank Promedica Hospice for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank Ivan's nephew, Tony for his loving care.
