Dr. Ivan Scott Muslin PhD

Dr. Ivan Scott Muslin PhD 54 of Hurricane, WV passed away June 14, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after bravely battling health issues.
Dr. Muzz received his PhD from the University of Memphis. He was an Assistant Professor of Management at Marshall University. He held the position of Visiting Professor of Management at Drake University, and Graduate Assistant at the University of Memphis. He was a strong supporter of lifelong learning and encouraged all to seek higher education and offered support that would buttress their educational goals. The family has received numerous messages from students, colleagues and administrators noting the impact he had on their educational and career paths. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He had a way of making you laugh and reassured you that things were going to be ok.
In his private life, Ivan was focused on his family and friends. He loved to travel, experience good food and was always ready for a concert or sporting event. He loved his Chicago Cubs and Bears, and Tampa Buccaneers and Bolts.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Adrienne (Berg) Muslin.
Those who will treasure his memory are his wife, Angela Petry-Muslin, children: Harvey and Emma Muslin, Haleigh Petry (Brady Griffin); sister, Erica (Chris) Adkins; brother, David "Ollie" (Christine) Muslin; uncle, Larry Muslin, Jennifer Muslin, and his "brother from another mother" and best friends James and Karley Vardaman along with a host of family and friends.
The family has chosen to have a memorial service at a later date to allow friends and family who wish to participate to make arrangements to travel.
