In Loving Memory - Ivanell Harris

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother who went home to be with our Lord and Savior and join our Dad in Heaven.

Our mother was born to Henry and Fannie Mathis in Vian, OK on July 18, 1942.

Ivanell would later meet the love of her life, James Harris. They were married on December 1, 1958 at the Church of God in Taft, CA. This is where their story begins. They built a beautiful and unshakeable love together. They moved to Derby Acres and raised two daughters, Shirley and Julie. They shared many beautiful years together until our Dad's passing in 1988. Even after our Dad's death she continued to keep his memory alive. She always said, "I had the best in your Dad and I won't settle for second best."

We have lots of cherished memories of our mother; her unconditional love and her unwavering commitment. We will always feel grateful and blessed that she was our Mom. She was devoted, loving, supportive; her strength was fierce, as was her love for the both of us and her grandchildren.

It brought her great joy to make breakfast every weekend for her grandchildren. She was ever present and constant in each of their lives.

She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Donnelly (Mike) of Colorado; Julie Lamas (Don) of Taft, her grandchildren Josh Lamas (Amy), James Donnelly, Jamie Lamas, Jillian Krisher; her great-grandchildren, Ariel Lamas, Noah Lamas, Lane Donnelly, Kaleb Lamas, Keaton Krisher, Emmett Krisher, Lilly Krisher, Bentley Krisher, and Daisy Krisher; her sisters Sarah King (Larry), Donna Sullivan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

No thanks could ever be enough for you, Mom, who gave me birth, for you were so much more than just my mother; you were truly my friend. I thank God for the years we had. So when I kneel down to pray I know you're watching over me. That's just what mothers do. So until we can embrace again, I'll be loving you. So rest in peace Momma, in the presence of our Lord and Savior and with Dad.
