1948-2013 ADAMS Mrs. Ivy Ann Briggs Dustin, 64 of 9 Richmond St. Adams, died Wednesday June 26, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after a brief illness.
She was born in North Adams, on November 26, 1948, daughter of the late Francis H. and Edith (Chilson) Briggs. She attended local schools including Drury High School.
Ivy has been employed at Sweetbrook Care Center since 1994. She enjoyed crafts and Bingo and also enjoyed travel.
Survivors include her husband, Harold L. Dustin, whom she married on August 5, 1967 in the First Baptist Church. Two daughters, Tracy Burdick and her husband, Michael; and Tanya Dustin all of Adams; and one son- Francis L. Dustin of Adams; and seven Grandchildren, Amanda, Travis, Cory, and Christopher Burdick; and Seth, Hannah, and Brady Marko.
She also leaves three brothers- Stephen Briggs of Tennessee; Francis Briggs and his wife, Elena of Adams; and Charles Briggs of North Adams; two sisters- Patricia Millis of Adams; and Debra Weslowski and her husband, Stanley of Cleveland, TN; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Ivy Dustin will be Monday July 1, 2013 at 7:00 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams. Burial will be private. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 5-7 PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
