Richard is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Barbara (Polumbo), by four sons: J. Richard Jr. and wife Pamela of Huntington Beach, CA, James and wife Nancy of Bernardsville, William of Randolph and Thomas and wife Mary Ellen also of Randolph, by two daughters: Barbara Losier and husband David of Billerica, MA and Susan Heys and husband Richard of Jefferson Twp., by fourteen grandchildren: Kristen and husband Seth, Thomas and wife Laurie, Matthew and wife Allison, Jack, Samantha and husband Eugenio, Amy Rose and husband Stuart, Joseph and wife Amanda, Brett, Christopher, Emily, Richard Jr., Daniel, Darby and Faith and by three great grandchildren: Lilia, Rita and Charlotte. He is predeceased by two sisters: Delores Lytle and Rita Burns.
A Funeral Mass will be held 1PM Friday at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936 under the direction of Hancliffe Home for Funerals, 222 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorial donations to St. Judes's Children's Hospital will be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
