James Edward (J.E.) Carroll

James (J.E.) Carroll, 85, of Soddy-Daisy, TN entered into the Gates of Heaven on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

J.E. grew up in Red Bank, graduated from Red Bank High School and moved to Soddy-Daisy and lived there for the last 50 years. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church, retired from United Parcel Service and during his retirement, went on mission trips to Orphanage Emmanuel in Honduras each February for 11 years with Red Bank Baptist. He also worked here at home with "Neighborhood Helpers" installing handicap ramps in the local area. J.E. leaves a lifetime legacy of love and service to Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior, his family, church, and his friends. He loved all, big and well. He is and will be greatly missed.

J.E. was preceded in death by his father, James Carl Carroll, mother, Linnie B. Carroll, brothers, Kenneth R. (Margaret) Carroll and Joe L. (Linda) Carroll and brother-in-law Jimmy L. (Vivian) Hudson.

J.E. leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Judy Hudson Carroll, sons, Jake E. (Rhonda) Carroll and Jason Lee (Shanna) Carroll, grandchildren, Emily Carroll (Joseph) Taylor, Jamie Carroll, Eli Carroll, Logan Carroll and many special extended family members and friends.

The family would like to offer a special, heartfelt thank you to the Staff of Guiding Grace Personal Care (guidinggracepch.com) for their consistent and deep love and care during J. E.'s time with them. Another thank you to the doctors and staff of Hearth Hospice.

No services are planned for J. E. because he is already in his new home. His favorite book, The Holy Bible in John chapter 14 tells you all about it!
