J. Randall (Randy) Huber, age 77, died at Melrose Wakefield Hospital on November 4, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born on February 23, 1948, to the late John W. and Helen L. Huber, he attended Melrose High School and then graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1970. On October 30, 1977, he married Dorothy Bernadette LaMarca, his soulmate, who, after 33 years of marriage, passed away in 2010.
He lived in Melrose his entire life and worked as a consulting civil engineer with both Baystate and Bayside Engineering, before forming Rand Associates Consulting, Inc., where he worked for 14 years until retiring in 2010.
Randy is survived by his sister-in-law Lynne LaMarca of Melrose, and his nephews and nieces (and their children) Gio Currier and his son Luca of Wakefield, Laura Moscoso and her husband Giovanni of Swampscott, Christopher LaMarca and his wife Satu of Mansfield, Kimberly Hosford of Haverhill, and Stephen LaMarca of Haverhill. He is also survived by cousins Diane, Cynthia, Deborah, and numerous other second, third, and fourth cousins.
Funeral Services will be held privately. Because of his enduring gratitude for the wonderful work they do for people with pets in need, and in memory of his second-best friend, Barklee, Randy has asked us to let you know that memorial contributions can be made to Paws 4 A Cure, PO Box 1821, Wakefield, MA 01880.
