J. Kellick Obituary
Mr. Kellick, a member of Bonne Idee Assembly, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the age of eighty-seven. He was a farmer by trade and farmed for fifty-three years. Mr. Kellick was a founder of the "Little Missouri" community and loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching dirt track racing and traveling in his younger years.
Mr. Kellick is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Shirley Sherwood Kellick; sons, Nicky Kellick and wife, Lanell, Randy Kellick and wife, Shannon; sister, Margaret Sherwood; grandchildren, Ashton Hightower and husband, Seth, Aharon Netherland and husband, Clint, Baylee Kellick and Will Jones, Tanner Kellick and wife, Sabrina, and Hannah Grissom; and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.E. and Wilma Kellick; and grandson, Brent Butler.
Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Kellick, Justin Weddle, Jackie Sims, Seth Hightower, Clint Netherland, Will Jones, and Kade Thurman.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bonne Idee Assembly at 11548 Johnson School Rd. Mer Rouge, LA 71261.
