Joan Quinn Kellick
Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 20, 1928, a daughter of the late Patrick and Vera [Conroy] Quinn.
Joan attended Maple Avenue School, St. Mary's High School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1946 and then went on to attend the Kelly Business Institute.
She was employed with Olin Matheson in the Traffic Department for many years.
Joan was a member of St. Peter's Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the First Friday Adoration Society. She was also a member of the St. Francis Guild, Past President of Our Lady of Fatima First Saturday.
Her favorite place was Blue Mountain Lake in the Adirondacks where she enjoyed many cherished memories with her children and grandchildren.
An ever optimistic Buffalo Bills Fan, Joan also enjoyed reading, history and travel. She had a thirst for knowledge and a quick wit.
In September of 1951, she married the Hon.William L. Kellick, Jr. and celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary prior to his death in August of 2002.
She is survived by her children Maureen C. (Neil Nolf) Kellick, Mary Jo (Ken) Kaszubowski, Kathleen K. (late Thomas) Cauley, Patricia K. (Timothy) Prawel and William Q. (Nancy) Kellick, eleven grandchildren Murphy (Carolyn) Bradshaw, Molly Q. Bradshaw, Nora and Joseph Kaszubowski, Bridget (Dylan) Makowski, Thomas Cauley, Timothy, Ian and Ryan Prawel, Jillian and Billy Kellick, two great grandchildren Murphy James Bradshaw, Jr. and Quinn David Bradshaw, also many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Patricia Q. Lowes.
Her family will be present on Friday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
Everyone is invited to attend Joan's Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:00 AM at St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY, with the Rev. Luke Uebler officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to Heart, Love and Soul, 939 Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.
Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY.
