Moultrie, Georgia – Jacen Barrett Cox, 8, of Moultrie, Georgia, a loving child who had the biggest, most beautiful brown eyes, curly hair and the biggest smile, went home with Jesus on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
His Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel
The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Born November 21, 2016, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was a son of Jonathan Austin Cox and Julie Shaylin Danielle Hurst.
He enjoyed playing with his trucks, being outdoors, but most of all, he loved his family.
Survivors include his parents, Jonathan Austin Cox and Julie Shaylin Danielle Hurst; siblings, Wrenley Cox, Asher Johnson, Kyson Johnson, Kaisen Johnson, Mikala Cox and Delany Latimer; grandparents, Jonathan and Toni Cox, Angel and Paul Moore and Jerry Fisher; great-grandparents, Charlotte Land, Diane McDaniel, Calvin Bullard, Jane Sinclair, Sharon Hurst, Arline Lundilius; great-great-grandmother, Ann Grier; stepmother, Harlie Smith; stepfather, Dalton Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other extended family.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Bobby Land, J.C. Cox, Buddy Hurst, Sr.; uncle, Caleb Jarosh; and aunt, Ida Parker.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
