Jaci Vaughn

Jacquelyn C. Vaughn, 57, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, December 9, 2022. Her health had been in decline for the past year.
Jaci was born September 1, 1965 in Bucyrus to Charles M. and Elizabeth A. (Brooks) Vaughn. She grew up in Galion, graduating with the GHS Class of 1983. She then served briefly in the armed forces and returned to Crawford County where she raised her children. She had recently moved to Upper Sandusky where she enjoyed activities with her neighbors at Essex Place Senior Living.
Jaci will be remembered as a nice, fun loving, and sweet lady who lived a simple life and loved to help. She could be a bit OCD when it came to her fastidious cleaning and many friends, family, and clients benefitted from this nature as she used any excuse she could to clean hers or others' homes. She loved being a "Grammy" and "Mimi" and, as a huge Steelers fan, looked forward to a "Girls Trip" each fall with her daughter to Pittsburgh where they enjoyed the city and took in a game. In her younger years, Jaci created prize-winning cross stitch and enjoyed Harley rides and campfires. She also loved collecting trinkets and little antiques, usually purchased on trips to Amish Country with her best friend of over 30 years, Rhonda Smith.
In addition to her parents, Jaci is survived by children, Brittany (Alan) Shealy and Cody Zeger; grandchildren, Jordan and Aubrie Shealy and Nevaeh and Brinleigh Zeger; sister, Susanna Leonard; nieces Charlize Leonard and Alexus Holbrook; and many extended family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jordan Andrew McGuire; brother, Charles Vaughn II; and sister, Hannah Vaughn.
Jaci's life will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Family will receive friends from 4-5:55 pm and the evening will conclude with a brief service at 6:00 pm by Pastor Randy Diller.
Rather than sending flowers, donations to help with expenses are appreciated and can be given to the funeral home. Memories and photos can be shared on Jaci's Tribute Wall.
