Jack was born on October 24, 1942, to the late Jack Sr. & Alice Jane (Robinson) Bigger. He graduated from Owosso High School, class of 1961. He was employed with General Motors as a Quality Reliability Engineer for 44 years before retiring in 2008.

Jack enjoyed watching professional sports, and his favorites were the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. Jack also enjoyed University of Michigan Football and had the opportunity to go to Michigan football games with his son and Uncle for the last several years. Great memories were made on those game days. In his high school years, Jack was an Owosso Wrestler. Those who knew Jack best "to say he had a sweet tooth, would be an understatement." He loved his sweets, of which cream horns and Little Debbie Cakes were his favorites. In his earlier years, the family took yearly trips to Disney, stopping in Atlanta on the way to visit family and staying at the grandparents' house in Florida. Staying with family made it possible to feed a family of 6 children while on vacation. The family would make sure to pick oranges while in Florida and bring them home by the crateful. Born in Frankfort, Jack enjoyed the yearly trips back to Honor, spending time at his brother Terry's cabin. He enjoyed driving through his childhood town during the day and sharing stories, some true some not, at the nightly bon fires with family. He recently was able to take a trip with his brother Terry to visit the grave of his brother Gregg in Minnesota. Perhaps the fondest memories were those summer camping trips to Wesleyan Woods campground in Vassar, Michigan for church Family Camp.

Jack is survived by his 6 children, Kimberly (Chip) Coughlan, Kevin (Cheryl) Bigger, Gary (fiancée Theresa) Bigger, Daniel (Michelle) Bigger, Gretchen (Noah) Burt and Claudia (fiancée Ron) Bigger; he is also survived by grandchildren Heather, Matthew, Brendan, Tyler, Taylor, Alexander, Noah, Julia, Catherine, Ian, Staycee, Genevieve, Brenton, David, Ariel, and Harmony, and 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 brother, Terry (Mary) Bigger and his Uncle Jim Sr. (Carol) Robinson, who is eight months younger than him. Jack is further survived by many other dear nieces, nephews and family members too numerous to list but never forgotten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Gregg Bigger.
