Jack Burton Cales 1945-2025
Jack Cales, 80 of Carter City, Kentucky, entered his eternal home in Heaven on November 13, 2025, at 9:45 A.M.
Jack was born on February 27, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Jack Burton and Lula Faust. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Bruce and Carl Weiss, and his sisters Dana Holsinger, Dawn Cales, and Roeann McKinney.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Joyce Cales, and by his loving family; brothers Mike (Paula) Cales, Gary(Jan) Cales and Randy (Bobbie) Cales; sisters Joelletta (John) Hannibal and Dian Dow; his children Paul (Sandy) Cales, Jeff (Heather) Cales, Joy (Steve) Corbin and Jonathon (Becky) Cales; grandchildren, Jacob Cales, Cassie Cales, Alonna (Eric) Conley, Alexis Corbin, Logan (Jessie) Cales, Kayla Corbin, and Skylar Cales; and great-grandchildren Ezra Duffy, Chaney Duffy, and Oakley Conley.
Jack proudly served his Country as a member of the United States Air Force Security Forces. Following his service, he enjoyed a long and successful career as a professional pilot for Eastern and DHL Airlines, flying for 38 years.
Above all, Jack was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. His life was a living testimony to his love for God and others. He was a dedicated member of the Carter Christian Holiness Church, where he joyfully served and led Bible study for 37 years. Jack's passion for sharing the Gospel and his unwavering devotion to his Savior touched countless lives.
Jack's legacy of faith, love, and humility will continue through the lives of his family and all who were blessed to know him. We take comfort in knowing he now rests in the loving arms of his Savior, remembering the promise of Romans 8:28 (KJV)
" And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Memorial services will be held at Carter Christian Holiness Church in Carter City, Kentucky, on November 22, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., with military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave. Ashland, KY 41101. Online condolences at www.sparksfh.com
