Jack Clampit Obituary

Preceding him in death were his parents Jack Clampit, Sr. and Dorris Brazier Clampit, twin sisters, Mary and Martha and a brother, Bill Clampit.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Debbie Frith Clampit, daughter, Amanda Mckee, grandson, Jack Dawson Mckee, step-daughter Michelle Speller, grandson James Speller, granddaughter, Emily Knighten, and four great-grandchildren.
After graduating from West Monroe High School, Class of 1966, he hauled pulpwood and began his own creosote plant. He then partnered with Ronnie Thrift and Mike Elper to open Executive Business Products, and eventually Modern Office Concepts, selling copiers and computers. After retirement he was co-owner of S&J Farm and Feed with Stephen Mann. He and Stephen started the Bawcomville Redneck Christmas Parade and Crawfish Craze Barrel Race, where he served as the announcer. He also owned Tailgators Restaurant and Food Trailer. His hobbies included noodling, which earned him the name Catfish Jack, hunting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Jack's passion was helping others and he was always willing to help a friend in need. He served as Vice-President of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury for two terms. He also served on the library board, volunteer committee for the Rivercity Longbeards, and a member of the North Louisiana Economic Partnership and North Louisiana Economic Development. Jack was also a member at Christ Church of West Monroe.
He will be sorely missed by his "Band of Brothers" Calvin Woodall, Jerry Hibbard, Bill Heard, James Cagle, Mike Nelson and many other numerous friends and family.

I have missed the daily Facebook jokes and comments of Mr Jack. I just saw of his passing and want his family to know he has touched so many lives over the years in some great ways. I will be praying for Deb and the whole family for comfort and peace over the next few days and weeks to come. God keep all of you close.
